As a member of the Library’s Senior Leadership Team, Elyse leads the Assessment, Communications, and User Experience (ACE) Division, overseeing the Assessment Department, the Communications Department (COMMS), the UX Department (UX), and managing the University’s Academic Captioning Program. Their work is rooted in human-centered storytelling, evidence-based decision-making, and participatory design practices that center the perspectives and lived experiences of the communities the Library serves. Through research, communication, and collaborative design practices, Elyse’s work advances digital accessibility and helps guide the development of library systems and services that are usable, accessible, and responsive to user needs.
