- OER are educational materials that are freely available for teachers and students to use, adapt, and share. The Library can provide guidance on finding, creating, and publishing OER for use in the classroom.

Apply for grants and specialty support
- Course Enrichment Grants - Provides support to faculty who would like to enhance students’ abilities to seek, evaluate, manage, and use information and data in scholarly contexts, as well as create new types of media-rich class assignments. Applications accepted in late fall/early spring.
- Research Sprints - Offers faculty the opportunity to partner with a team of expert librarians on a specific project or component of a broader project, such as assignment redesign or creation of learning objects. Applications accepted in late fall/early spring.
- Affordability and Equity grant program - Provides support to faculty who want to adopt, adapt, or create open educational resources (OER). Rolling application deadlines.
Classroom instruction
- Course-related Library class instruction - Teaching & Learning staff and Subject Liaisons will arrange instruction for individual classes.
- Special Collections class visits and instruction - Instructional sessions using the wealth of materials in our Special Collections Library.
Course material
- Place course reserves
- Chapters, articles, and full films can be requested directly in Virgo.
- For video, full films can be requested in Virgo, or the Library can digitize short clips for a learning management system like Canvas or Collab.
- Purchase recommendation - Recommend materials for the Library's collection, or request items for use in course reserves.
- "How do I...?" - General tutorials, tips, and tricks about all the Library has to offer. Use for yourself or share with your students. For instance, see:
Subject expertise
Subject liaisons offer topic expertise in a wide array of topics, and can refer you to resources for teaching, classroom use, or research.
Scholars’ Lab provides consultation on digital humanities projects, including 3D data collection and printing, scholarly making, and geospatial analysis.
Robertson Media Center provides equipment and expertise in the use of audiovisual media and software to support instruction, research, and creativity.
